Shipping
How long will my order take to arrive?
Processing times are between 1-3 business days. It may take an additional 2-4 business days after being shipped (depending on your shipping selection) for your order to arrive.
I entered the wrong shipping address. What should I do?
If the order has not yet been processed or shipped, we may be able to correct the issue. Otherwise, we would suggest reaching out to your local USPS branch. We are not responsible for addresses entered incorrectly.
How can I track my order?
When you make your purchase, you should get a shipping confirmation email with a button link to view your order. From there, you should be able to track it.
My package arrived damaged. What should I do?
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if any item is received in less-than-perfect condition. This includes items that are damaged, defective, missing, or if you received the wrong item. We cannot resolve damaged product concerns after 7 days of the order being marked as delivered.
Return Policy
Physical Products:
ScrubLifeNotes has a 14-day return policy, which mean you have 14 days after the item is marked as delivered to request a return.
For items that are eligible for a return, your item must be brand new (in the same condition that you received it). It must be in its original packaging to be eligible for a refund. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Any products that were delivered shrink-wrapped must still be shrink-wrapped.
To start a return, you can fill out this Contact Form. In the message box, please be sure to include:
- Order Number
- Item(s) you would like to return
- Reason for the return
If your return is accepted, you will receive instructions on how and where to send your package. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility. Items sent back to NurseInTheMaking without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Restocking fees may apply.
Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable in the event of a return. While you will receive a refund for the item(s), the cost of shipping incurred to deliver the order will not be reimbursed.

If you paid for shipping on your order, and then decide to return the order, the original shipping fees will not be refunded. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too. New to ICU™ Resources
What’s included in the New to ICU™ packet?
New to ICU™ is a comprehensive, evidence-based visual education resource guide created for new-to-practice critical care nurses. It includes over 120+ pages of the most relevant critical care concepts, equipment, and medications, broken down into 10 sections (Introduction, Labs, Daily ICU Screenings, Neuro, Trauma, Cardiac, Invasive Monitoring, Respiratory, Medical/Surgical and Continuous Infusions). Our unique charts, tables, and diagrams help break down complex critical care topics and subjects. Check out our New to ICU™ Listing here for more information on what topics are covered!
Is New to ICU™ helpful for Adult ICUs? What about PICU or NICU?
New to ICU™ is applicable in all adult ICUs, but only some Pediatric ICUs. Many PICU nurses have used New to ICU™ as the foundational critical care concepts are the same for pediatrics and adults. However, some topics are more focused on adults. While New to ICU™ covers a variety of Cardiovascular concepts and equipment (e.g., IABP, Impella®, Targeted Temperature Management), there are no specific pages dedicated for Pediatric Cardiac ICUs (PCICU). Unfortunately, New to ICU™ is not recommended for Neonatal ICU, as this is a highly specialized care unit.
Is there a digital version of New to ICU™ available?
At this time, the newest 2.0 edition of New to ICU™ is only available as a physical product. ScrubLifeNotes will make an announcement if/when digital download options are available for purchase. Thank you for your understanding!
Is New to ICU™ helpful for nursing school?
New to ICU™ is a specific guide for foundational critical care concepts and equipment pieces. We highly recommend the New to ICU™ guide to any senior practicum or Capstone student accepted to an ICU. New to ICU™ is a supplemental guide that breaks down complex critical care concepts and equipment. Therefore, we cannot endorse this packet as a replacement for any nursing school textbooks.

Does the New to ICU™ packet contain the same information as the Pocket Cards?
Yes! Our Pocket Cards include the same information covered in the New to ICU™ guide, but in a smaller reference guide. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Resources
Does the FNP Board Prep Study Guide replace my textbook for NP school?
Good question! The FNP Board Prep Study Guide is a supplemental study guide for the FNP Board Exam. It covers the essential, need-to-know information to help you pass your board exam on your first try! Think of the Board Prep Study Guide as your “cheat sheet” for each relevant exam topic, including information on Patho, Signs/Symptoms, Screenings/Relevant Labs, Etiology, Risk Factors, Treatment options (pharmacologic vs. non-pharmacologic), and Referrals. The FNP Board Prep Study Guide does not replace your textbook.
Will the FNP Board Prep Study Guide help me in my Patho and Pharm classes?
As this is a "need-to-know" information guide for FNP Boards, only a few of the most common medication dosages are included for highly testable diseases/disorders. For this reason, we suggest using this guide as a supplemental study guide for the Patho/Pharm classes, but not as a replacement. For example, we include information on dosing ranges for Amoxicillin in Acute Otitis Media (80-90mg/kg/day) vs. Strep Pharyngitis (50mg/kg/day), as this concept is often tested on! However, we do not include dosing information on, for example, Allopurinol, for Gout as your board exam will focus more on you understanding that it is a preventative medication vs. knowing the actual starting dose.
Will this help for ANCC and AANP Board exams?
Yes! Our FNP Board Prep Study Guide will help prepare you for FNP certification exam for both the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). This Board Prep Guide not only includes 15 sections of relevant testing material for review, but also three bonus sections on Pre-Testing information, sample “Dump Sheets” and Post-Testing advice! In the Pre-Testing section, we highlight the main differences between taking the ANCC vs. AANP exams, including: length of testing, types/content of test questions, application costs, license renewal processes and retesting policies. Additionally, we provide a breakdown of what information and documents you’ll need to prepare before applying for each of these exams through their respective credentialling sites. Lastly, we provide a 3-month Study Planner and an overview of a “Roadmap to Testing”, which highlights a step-by-step guide on how to apply for each board exam!
How is this Board Prep Guide different from other FNP study guides?
Our FNP Board Prep Study Guide is a visual-education guide, meaning we use pictures, charts and colorful diagrams to help you learn and retain challenging board exam topics! Instead of using black & white bullet points and lengthy paragraphs, we focus on the need-to-know information for boards. Our guides are printed in full-color and even include note-taking pages at the end of each section. Additionally, we include 3 bonus sections on Pre-Testing, Post-Testing and sample Dump Sheets!
Does the FNP Board Prep Study Guide also help with AGNP, AGACNP, or ACNP Board exams?
Our FNP Board Prep Study Guide was created to specifically cover the FNP exam blueprint, as outlined by the ANCC and AANP. Therefore, we cannot confidently state if the FNP Board Prep guide would cover the same topics as AGNP, AGACNP or ACNP certification exams. The FNP Board Prep Study Guide focuses on outpatient prevention screenings, diagnosis guidelines, treatment options for a variety of disease/disorders across the lifespan (newborns to geriatric patients). While there may be relevant topics covered in our Board Prep Guide for these other NP exams, we highly recommend reviewing the testable blueprint outlines for your respective certification exams.
